COLLEGE PARK, Md – Matt Balanc recorded a career-high 25 points, as Quinnipiac men's basketball fell short at No. 21 Maryland on Tuesday night, 83-69, to open the 2021-22 season.

The Bobcats shot 51.7% (15-of-29) in the second half, outscoring Maryland 44-42.

Matt Balanc shot 9-of-12 in total, knocking down three triples. Tyrese Williams added 19 points of his own, going 5-for-9 from three-point range.

Matt Balanc led the way with a career-high in both points (25), and steals (5). The redshirt junior also grabbed three rebounds. Balanc shot 9-of-12 from the field, going 3-for-5 from three-point range.
Senior Tyrese Williams chipped in with 19 points, going 5-for-9 from distance.
Sophomore Tymu Chenery recorded eight points and three rebounds.
Kevin Marfo grabbed nine rebounds and dished out four assists in his return to the Bobcats.
Jacob Rigoni chipped in with seven points, while Dezi Jones recorded five points in his QU debut.
The Bobcats shot 41.1% (23-for-56) in total, including a 51.7% mark in the second half.
QU outscored Maryland 44-42 in the second half of action.
Quinnipiac made 11 triples, including five made three-pointers from Tyrese Williams.
