Mobley Nets Game-Winner to Lift Bobcats Past Union

HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 8/8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team improves to 9-0-2 on the season and 3-0 in conference play after defeating the Union Dutchwomen, 2-1, on Friday night. Graduate student Taylor House and sophomore Olivia Mobley scored in the win.
The Dutchwomen netted the first goal of the game two minutes into the second period, and House scored the equalizer 15 minutes later. While skating 4-vs-4 in the final 1:35 seconds of the game, Mobley scored the game-winner to send the Bobcats past the Dutchwomen.

SCORING SUMMARY
- (2:20, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 0, Union 1: The Dutchwomen scored in the second period to jump out to a 1-0 lead. Ashley Adams shot the puck past Logan Angers and scored her first goal of the season.
- (17:47, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Union 1: House scored a rebound goal to tie the game late in the second period. Graduate student Renee Saltnes and junior Kate Reilly tallied assists on the goal.
- (18:36, 3rd period, 4v4) – Quinnipiac 2, Union 1: The Bobcats were on the penalty kill with less than two minutes remaining in regulation until an interference penalty was called on Union. While skating 4-vs-4, the Bobcats lined up for a faceoff in the team's offensive zone. Senior Lexie Adzija won the faceoff and secured the puck back from sophomore Kendall Cooper. Adzija skate into the middle of the ice and found Mobley on the back-door wide open, and Mobley sent the puck home to win the game.
- Mobley netted her sixth goal of the season and second game-winner. She has also tallied her fourth point in the last three games.
- House is on a five-game point streak and scored her fifth goal of the season.
- Cooper, Adzija, Reilly and Saltness all recorded assists in the win.
- Redshirt junior Logan Angers made 18 saves in the net, allowing one goal.
- The Bobcats out shot the Dutchwomen, 39-19.
- Quinnipiac held the edge on the faceoffs, winning 59%.
