House Leads Bobcats in Shutout over RPI

Bobcats' unbeaten streak improves to 12 games in a row
HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team shutout the RPI Engineers on Saturday afternoon in a 1-0 win. Graduate student Taylor House netted the lone goal, and graduate student Corinne Schroeder made 16 saves in the net.
The Bobcats improve to 10-0-2 on the season, maintaining the team's undefeated streak through 12 total games. Quinnipiac is now 4-0 in ECAC Hockey play, which is the best start for the team since the 2014-15 season when the Bobcats went 5-0 to start conference play.

SCORING SUMMARY
- (15:26, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, RPI 0: Taylor House scored the game's only goal of the day on a rebound off of a shot by sophomore Nina Steigauf. Graduate student Renee Saltness also added a helper on the goal.
- House tallied her sixth point in six games and netted her fifth goal in six games. This was also her second goal of the weekend. She now has six goals and three assists for nine points this year.
- Saltness recorded her second assist of the weekend, and Steigauf added one of her own.
- Schroeder improves to 5-0-1 on the season and notched her second shutout of the year.
- The Bobcats outshot the Engineers, 32-16.
- Quinnipiac won the faceoff battle on Saturday, recording a 65% winning percentage.
- RPI's Delaney Weiss recorded a five-minute major in the third period. The Engineers had five penalties in the game, as compared to Quinnipiac's two.
- Quinnipiac went 0-4 on the power play, and RPI went 0-2.
