
Deputy Director of Athletics Sarah Fraser Named Chair of NCAA Olympic Sports Liaison Committee

The committee consists of representatives from NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III, as well as SAAC representatives from each level.
Fraser has been a member of other NCAA committees, including a stint serving as chair of the NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Committee (2015-18).
She has also been involved with the national governing body of ice hockey, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for USA Hockey. She holds the role of Chair of the Women's National Team Advisory Committee, as well, and sits on the Playing Rules Committee and Youth Council.
About the Olympic Sports Liaison Committee
The purpose of the Olympic Sports Liaison Committee is to facilitate communication and understanding between the NCAA, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and the national governing bodies. Through this communication the Olympic Sports Liaison Committee will assist the USOPC and the national governing bodies in facilitating the best possible development of elite athletes within the contact of the NCAA's commitment to education and a broad-based development of all student-athletes.
The Olympic Sports Liaison Committee will provide an avenue of communication and access for the USOPC and national governing bodies into the NCAA process and, where appropriate, make recommendations to the NCAA membership. Finally, the Olympic Sports Liaison Committee will strive to provide education to the USOPC, national governing bodies and student-athletes regarding NCAA rules and regulations as they apply to world-class athletes.
