"SAAC has been a major part of my time at QU. It is a community and a mission that I realized my passion for early on, and it has challenged my leadership at the conference and national level. I initially joined SAAC as a sophomore, looking for ways to meet other athletes and get involved. I now have learned about the importance of advocacy, service, and connectivity. I am so lucky to be apart of a community of people that want to make the student athlete experience better every single day.
Our end-of-year athletic awards ceremony, the Boomies, is put on by SAAC. It is a celebration of all our hard work and accomplishments over the year. It's amazing to get everyone together, and it is fun getting to work on it behind the scenes. There is a lot of thought and care that is poured into it, from our advisor, Matt, our leadership team, and many others. I am so grateful for the opportunities SAAC has given me, and for the people I've been able to connect with."

The Bobcats also celebrated the accomplishments of the 2026 seniors with a Senior Toast hosted in the University Club at M&T Bank Arena. Senior women's volleyball student-athlete Damla Gunes addressed her fellow Bobcats during the toast.
