Rigoni Plays in 100th Collegiate Game

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball fell in MAAC action against Manhattan by the final score of 45-42 on Saturday, Jan. 9 at the People's United Center in Hamden.

The Bobcats move to 3-3 (1-1 MAAC) so far this season.

Jacob Rigoni led the way for Quinnipiac with nine points and 10 rebounds in 30 minutes. Rigoni played in his 100^th career game with the Bobcats. He's started in 71 consecutive games, and now needs just 53 more points to become QU's 43^rd 1,000-point scorer.

Jacob Rigoni now needs just 53 more points to reach 1,000 for his career. He's grabbed 10 rebounds in two of his last three contests.
Tyrese Williams added nine points and five rebounds, shooting 4-of-10 from the field.
Seth Pinkney added six points, seven rebounds and two blocks in a team-high 34 minutes. Pinkney is now 19-of-23 (82.6 percent) from the floor in 2020-21.
Brendan McGuire chipped in with five points, four rebounds and two assists off the bench.
The Jaspers' bench held a 23-11 scoring advantage over Quinnipiac.
Both teams scored 18 points in the paint.
Quinnipiac led for 21:39 in total, and there were 10 lead changes during the game.

Quinnipiac will now turn its attention to Monmouth, as the Bobcats will travel to West Long Branch, N.J. to take on the Hawks on Friday, Jan. 15 and Saturday, Jan. 16.
