
Women's Indoor Track & Field Breaks School Record in 4x400m Relay on Final Day of ECACs

BOSTON, Mass. - The Quinnipiac women's indoor track & field completed competition on the final day of the ECAC Championships at the BU Track & Tennis Center. The 4x400m relay team broke the school record in the finals with a time of 3:46.57. The Bobcats finished in 20th place in the team scoring out of 41 total teams. Townson took first place with 71 team points.

The ECAC Championships concludes the indoor season for the Bobcats. Quinnipiac will turn to the outdoor track starting Saturday, March 28 in West Long Branch, N.J., at the Monmouth Season Opener.
Results
- The relay team consisting of sophomore Caitlyn Halloran, junior Meaghan Scullin and seniors Melissa Solomon and Ahmetra Davies ran in the finals for the 4x400m relay and recorded a new school record with a time of 3:46.57. The Bobcats took sixth place overall in the finals.
- In the 4x800m relay, the team consisting of first-year Shannon Goria, sophomore Emily Young, junior Brooke Hagen and senior Meghan Curtin took fourth place with a time of 9:01.23, which was faster than the preliminary time from Saturday.
- In the distance medley relay, first-year Claire Veverka and Eileen Donovan, sophomore Mia Pestle and junior Amanda Carlson recorded a time of 11:57.80 in eighth place.
- Curtin also ran in the 800m finals and tallied a time of 2:12.07 and finished in seventh place.
