Alester Magalit Wins Second MAAC Player of the Week Award

QU Men's Tennis Turns Attention to Florida Trip Next Week
Edison, N.J. – Quinnipiac men's tennis sophomore Alester Magalit has been named MAAC Plauer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
Magalit – a Hong Kong native – picked up a No. 2 singles win on Saturday night vs. Fordham, as he topped Green 6-3, 7-6 (7) at the North Haven Health and Racquet Club.
The reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year is now 10-10 in singles matches during 2019-20, winning each of his last two decisions. The weekly award is already Magalit's second of the spring, as he was named MAAC Co-Player of the Week on Feb. 19.
Magalit and the Bobcats are back on Monday, March 9, as the program gets ready for a spring-break trip down to Florida to continue non-conference play.
