Five Bobcats Named to Softball All-Academic Team

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Five Bobcats were named to the 2019 MAAC Softball All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday, May 8. Seniors Erin Larsen, Taylor Troyan and Kendall Brundrett, junior Rachel Marchuk and sophomore Brighid Douglas were all named to the academic team for their dedication in the classroom throughout the season.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed two semesters at their respective institutions and hold at least a 3.20 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Iona and Marist led the conference with 12 players on the All-Academic Team.
All three seniors were named to the All-Academic Team for the third year in a row. Larsen will graduate this month with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Troyan will complete her time at Quinnipiac with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and Brundrett will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Neuroscience. This is the second time Marchuk has been named to the All-Academic Team and first recognition for Douglas.
