Bobcats Fall to Bears, 278.075-269.485, to Conclude 2019 Season

WACO, Texas – The No. 4 Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team stayed within striking distance of the No. 1 Baylor Bears Friday night in the NCATA Semifinals but fell to the Bears, 278.075-269.485 to conclude the 2019 season.
Quinnipiac won two heats over Baylor, picking up a 9.425 in the 5-element heat of the Acro event before Cassidy Osher (Old Bridge, New Jersey) had a dominant performance in the open pass of the tumbling heat with a 9.700 to 8.925 win against Baylor's pass.
The Bobcats were neck and neck with the Bears through the first five events, and remained within two points within the first four events. At halftime, the Bobcats were within 1.575 points of the Bears thanks to Quinnipiac's strong showing in the Acro Event with a 28.275 and Pyramid event with a 28.875.

- Osher's 9.700 in the open tumbling pass was her personal best in that heat on the season and tied her personal best in any tumbling heat this season
- The Bobcats continued their strong performance in the toss heat of the compulsory event as they recorded a 9.850 and finished the 2019 season with an average score of 9.89 in the heat
- Quinnipiac's pyramid heat continued to be one of its strongest with a 9.725 in the inversion heat before adding a 9.525 in the synchronized heat and 9.625 in the open heat.
- Melanie Mancini (Waterbury, Connecticut) and the open toss group recorded a 9.800 to finish the season with an average of 9.806.
- With an 8.725 in the trio pass of tumbling, the Bobcats recorded their second-highest score in the heat of the season after an 8.750 at King on March 14.
- The Bobcats' five-meet winning streak came to an end with the loss, the second-longest winning streak in program history.
