Mazzola, Defense Record First Shutout of 2019

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's soccer played to a scoreless draw at Niagara on Saturday night in MAAC play.

With the tie, both the Bobcats and the Purple Eagles move to 2-1-1 in league play so far in 2019. Quinnipiac recorded its first shutout of the season in the draw, playing 110 minutes without giving up a goal on the road.

NOTES

Junior goalkeeper Jarred Mazzola made two more saves, including an impressive diving stop less than 10 minutes into the first half. The clean sheet is his first of the season, as Mazzola now owns a 4-4-3 record in 2019.
Total shots were 14-8 in favor of QU, and the Bobcats held a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Quinnipiac attempted five corners in the tie.
Henry Weigand and Tomas Svecula led the program with two shots apiece.
