Bakas, Voight are Top Two Finishers for Bobcats, Team Finishes 21st Overall
JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. – Kaitlin Bakas (South Windsor, Connecticut) finished the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown first for the Quinnipiac women's cross country team Friday afternoon at the meet hosted by Boston College.
The Bobcats finished 21st overall out of the 24 teams competing from across the nation. The Bobcats record 629 points in the race, finishing just behind Boston University for 20th place, as the only MAAC team competing in the race.

- Bakas and Voight finished first and second for the Bobcats for a second straight week
- Songer shot up the Bobcats standings to finish third for the team, her best finish on the season
- Gihorski continued to improve early in her career as she ran her fastest 5K race in her third career race with the Bobcats
- Quinnipiac competed in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown for the first time since the race was developed for the 2013 season

- The Bobcats have another week off between races before competing in the New England Championships back at Franklin Park in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, on Saturday, Oct. 6.
