HAMDEN, Connecticut - Days after being chosen as the #2 team in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Quinnipiac women's soccer team opens the new 2018 season with two road games at Boston College (Friday) and Bryant (Monday). Coming off a season in which the Bobcats went 5-2-3 in MAAC play and won nine games overall, Dave Clarke's team is poised to compete for the MAAC crown once again.

TOP STORYLINES HEADING INTO 2018
- 2017 MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year Kelsey Goldring was selected to the 2018 Preseason All-MAAC squad last week. The redshirt sophomore will be an offensive catalyst as the Bobcats begin their quest for a title.
- Quinnipiac was recently selected second in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll for the second consecutive season. This marks the highest preseason ranking in program history.
- The Bobcats return 20 letterwinners from a team that has won 21 games in two seasons, and two seasons ago put together the third-highest single-season win total in the program's Div. I era as well as the most successful campaign since 2001.
- Quinnipiac reeled off a 9-0 home record in 2016 and is 13-2-2 on home turf over the last two seasons.
- Goldring, Al Pelletier, Madison Borowiec, and Ally Grunstein all return as players who tallied double-digit point totals a year ago. Goldring tied for the team lead with eight assists.
- With returning players accounting for 2.79 assists per game from last season, the Bobcats rank fourth in all Division I women's soccer in returning assists per game in 2018.
- Olivia Myszewski returns between the goalposts after starting 18 of the team's 19 games last season. The program's goalkeeping core consists of Myszewski, Charlotte Edmunds, Devan Malcolm, and Isabel Dunning.
- The Bobcats also welcomed Sarah Tompkins to the coaching staff as 2018 marks her first year as assistant coach.
