HAMDEN, Connecticut - No. 4 ranked Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling team fell to the No. 1 ranked Baylor Bears, 282.930-278.055, at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Connecticut on Sunday, February 18th 2018. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 0-1 on the season and the Bears advance to 3-0 with the victory.

Compulsory
The Bobcats started strong with a high-powered Compulsory event. The Bobcats' struck for a perfect 10.0 in the Pyramid heat, which was an event-high. Adams led the way, appearing in all the heats for Quinnipiac as the Bobcats were tied at 38.0 after the first event.
Acro
Quinnipiac continued their strong start with a 9.90 in the first heat of the Acro event, but fell in the event, 29.55-29.10.
Pyramid
The Bobcats scored 9.85-9.65 victory in heat 3 of the Pyramid event, but lost the event by a slim margin of 29.15-28.40.
Toss
The Bobcats rebounded after halftime to dominate the Toss event. Quinnipiac won all three heats. Redding was a huge part of the Bobcats success, appearing in all three heats that pulled the Bobcats within striking distance with two events to go. Bobcats won the Toss event, 29.35-29.10
Tumbling
The Bobcats took home one victory in the Tumbling event when Samantha Gormley (Howell, New Jersey), Jenna Capisto (Wolcott, Connecticut)and Chelsea Werner (Shoreham, New York) combined for a 8.90 in the Trio Tumbling Heat to give Quinnipiac the victory. Baylor would end up winning the event, 56.350-55.675 to take a lead into the Team event.
Team
Both teams put on incredible displays during the Team event, but it was Baylor who would strike for a 100.78-97.53 victory over Quinnipiac in the Team event.

- Quinnipiac came out strong, tallying three wins in the Compulsory event.
- The Bobcats swept all three heats in the Toss event en route to a 29.35-29.10 victory in the Toss event to put the Bobcats within striking distance going into the final two events of the day.
- The Bobcats were led by Erin Redding (Farmington, Connecticut), Jenna Adams (Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey), Grace Manthey (Anchorage, Alaska).
- Redding appeared in 11 heats, striking for a team-high six victories for the blue and gold.
- Adams participated in 12 heats for Quinnipiac and scored five victories for the Bobcats.
- Manthey appeared 10 heats and picked up five victories as well.
- Allie Williams (Poughkeepsie, New york) was featured in six meets and scored victories in five of those heats, including two in the toss event.
