GAME NOTES
- Young's 26 points were one shy of his career high of 27, set against Hartford last month.
- Quinnipiac played its ninth game this season decided by two points or less, with the Bobcats compiling a 6-3 record in those games. The Bobcats have now won by one point three times (Dartmouth, Siena, Marist), and by two points three times (UMass, Columbia, Monmouth)..
- For the eight time in those nine games decided by two points or less, a tying or winning shot went in the air in the waning seconds. This time, David Knudsen shot a contested winning three-pointer at the buzzer, which was off target.
- Aleksandar Dozic gave Marist a 78-75 lead with 53 seconds left in overtime with a three-pointer from the left corner.
- Young answered the Dozic three-pointer with an acrobatic finish in the paint while drawing a foul with 37 seconds left, adding the tying foul shot.
- Isaiah Lamb was fouled off an offensive rebound for the Red Foxes and and made one of two foul shots with 12 seconds left to put Marist ahead 79-78.
- Young drew a foul on a drive with 4.8 left and hit both foul shots to put the Bobcats ahead by one. Brian Parker rushed up court for Marist and found Knudsen in the right corner, but Young flew out to contest and the shot hit off the rim as the horn sounded.
- Quinnipiac held a seven-point lead with 2:56 left after a three-point play from Young, and was still ahead by six with 50 seconds left after a Young lay-up.
- The Bobcats made just 5-of-9 foul shots in the final minute to open the door for Marist, and Parker was able to tie the score with 1.8 seconds left with a pair of foul shots. The Bobcats threw the ball the length of the floor and Austin Williams stole it for Marist, before missing a 75-footer off the back rim.
- Freshman Jacob Rigoni (Adelaide, Australia) had 18 points, including 5-9 shooting from three. Rigoni came into the game as the MAAC's top three-point shooter at 52.9 percent.
