HAMDEN, Connecticut - The Quinnipiac women's tennis team will play host for the Quinnipiac Invitational this week. The Invitational will start Friday, September 15 and will conclude Sunday, September 17. The Bobcats are coming off a successful weekend at the Stony Brook Invitational, where they picked up 11 victories in singles and doubles competition.

TOP STORYLINES
- Paula Miller returns for her fourth season as the Director of Tennis and Quinnipiac Women's Tennis Head Coach. Miller is in search of her fourth-straight MAAC Coach of the Year Award after guiding the Bobcats to a 38-0 record in matches against MAAC opponents since joining the MAAC in the 2013-2014 season.
- Jennifer Lu (Cypress, California) kicked off third year with the Bobcats taking home a victory in the Backdraw Singles Tournament A Championship. She had five victories throughout the whole weekend.
- Payton Bradley (Downingtown, Pennsylvania) excelled in her first invitational with the Bobcats. Bradley advanced in the quarterfinals of the Doubles Tournament A while paired with Layla Rodriguez (Rancho Santa Margarita, California). She also advanced to the semifinals of the Singles Tournament A bracket as well.
- Proyfon Lohaphaisan (Santa Clarita, California) advanced to the semifinals in the Singles Tournament C bracket this weekend, picking up two victories.
- Rodriguez started off her sophomore season with a strong showing at the Stony Brook Invitational. The reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year took home two victories over the weekend.
- Rodriguez was undefeated in single matches 2016-17 as well, going 17-0.
- Alexandra Mircea (Glen Rock, New Jersey) is coming off back-to-back years with at least 15 wins for the Bobcats. The junior is also coming off a sophomore season where she was selected to the MAAC All-Academic team.
- Amy Zammarieh (Trumbull, Connecticut) returns to the Bobcats for her sophomore season after tallying seven wins for the Bobcats in 2016-17. Zammarieh went 4-2 in singles matches and 3-0 in doubles.
- Scarlett Blydenburgh (Chatam, New Jersey) joins the Bobcats after becoming a three-time Morris County Tournament winner and a four-time team MVP at Chatham High School.
- Courtney Nash (Andover, Massachusetts) starts her career at Quinnipiac this week. Nash was ranked No. 25 on Tennis Recruiting's May 2017 Hot 100 List. Nash is also a two-time state champion and two-time conference player of the year.
- Dominique Vasile kicks off her freshman year with the Bobcats after finishing second in the Midwest Designated (G16) and being a Winnipeg Canada ITF Finalist (G18).
- Stephanie Yanosov (Cherry Hill, New Jersey) comes to Quinnipiac after going undefeated in the Olympic Conference and reaching the semifinals of the New Jersey state tournament.
