NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior Jessica Lee finished in first place in the 60-meter dash (out of 60 competitors), while tying the school record held by Shameal Samuels '16 with a 7.66 in the finals, to highlight the opening day of the winter season for the Quinnipiac Women's Indoor Track and Field team on Saturday afternoon at the Yale Season Opener at Coxe Cage.

- Jessica Lee won the finals of the 60 meters by one-hundredth of a second over Paige Chapman on Manhattan and by two-hundredths of a second over third-place Annastacia Barnham of Morgan State.
- Lee's 7.66 finish tied the school record which was set by Shameal Samuels on Feb. 21, 2015 at The Armory
- Lee broke her previous personal best of 7.73, which she set last year
- Lee was also second out of 70 competitors in the 200 meters.
- Freshman Britney Del Mundo moved into second place on Quinnipiac's top 10 list in the triple jump in her college debut with her 10.96, behind only Bonnie Pisciotta, who had a top effort of 11.34 in 2016.
- Carly Timpson's high jump of 1.67 meters was just shy of her own school record of 1.70 set during the outdoor season last year at Rider
- Meaghan Scullin's long jump of 5.27 was just off her personal best of 5.32 set during outdoor season last year at UMass
