HAMDEN, Connecticut – the Quinnipiac Women's hockey team struck for two goals in under four minutes at the beginning of the second period and held strong to defeat Vermont, 2-1. With the victory and the 4-1 win over the Catamounts, the Bobcats sweep the weekend and advance to 4-2 on the season.

2:05 2nd Period (QU 1-0): Brooke Bonsteel (Mississauga, Ontario) continued her impressive weekend as she tallied her third goal in two games to push the Bobcats out in front, 1-0. The goal was scored when Bonsteel crashed the net to put home the rebound off of a shot from Laura Lunblad (Ada, Michigan), who picked up her second-career assist.

Marcon retrieved a pass from Bonsteel, who tallied her first career assist with Quinnipiac to continue her impressive weekend.
16:02 2nd Period (QU 2-1) Vermont pulled within one goal late in the second period when Sammy Kolowrat scored on a rebound in front, sneaking one past Quinnipiac's Allison Small (Nestleton, Ontario).

- Bronsteel continued her impressive weekend collected her third goal of her career and the weekend to give Quinnipiac the 1-0 lead. She followed it up with an assist on Lancaster's goal to tally four points throughout the weekend.
- Lancaster's goal, which gave Quinnipiac a 2-1 lead, was her first goal of the season and her 11th of her career. She now has three points on the season after a two-assist night on Friday.
- Small stopped 24 of 25 pucks that came her way Saturday as the freshman netminder obtained her first victory with Quinnipiac.
- The Bobcats were 1-for-2 on the power play, increasing their season conversion rate to .250 (5-for-20).
- Quinnipiac is now 11-5-3 against non-ECAC opponents dating back to last season.
