Men's Soccer Tipped By Robert Morris, 2-1

Senior Francis Mavula (Ottawa, Ont.) registered his first goal of the season, but the Quinnipiac University men's soccer team was defeated by Robert Morris on Friday afternoon in Moon Township, Pa., 2-1. Mark Klabnik scored with 22:49 remaining in the game to provide the margin of victory.
The Bobcats drop to 1-11-4, 1-4-3 in NEC action. Robert Morris is 8-6-4, 3-2-3.
The loss officially eliminated Quinnipiac from contention for the Northeast Conference tournament.
Ryan Zabinski scored 21:08 into the game for the Colonials, but the Bobcats had a quick answer.
Mavula found the back of the net only 84 seconds later off a feed from Anthony Patierno (Lincolndale, N.Y.)
The score stayed tied at 1-1 deep into the second half until the Colonials converted the eventual winner.
Bobcats goalie Paul Fleck (Enfield, Conn.) finished with four saves on the afternoon.
The Bobcats are back in action on Sunday when they close the 2006 season with a game at Saint Francis, Pa.
