A two-sport star who led Quinnipiac to impressive records during his playing career, Mike Bruno starred in baseball and in basketball.
In baseball, Quinnipiac posted a record of 41–21 during his four-year career. A four-year letter winner, Bruno batted .333 as a junior and posted six wins on the mound for Quinnipiac.
In basketball, Bruno led Quinnipiac to a 54–35 record and scored 431 career points while earning four varsity letters.
As a senior, Bruno helped organize the Varsity Club, while serving as president for the group from 1961–62.
