Lynn Luca was a four-year member of the softball team in the successful early ’80s for Quinnipiac. In her freshman season, Luca batted .431, ranking her fifth in the nation, and led Quinnipiac to the NCAA Regionals. She also saw action on the mound, finishing second on the team with four victories during her sophomore campaign. An All-NECC first-team selection, Luca was named Quinnipiac Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. During her four years on the team, Quinnipiac posted an impressive 87–45 record.
