Ed Muzyka is one of the topscoring defensemen in men’s ice hockey history. For his career he totaled 104 points—and ranks second all-time on the school’s career scoring list for blueliners— including 66 assists. In his senior year he led the team to an 18–8–1 record, the best winloss mark for Quinnipiac at the time. As a senior captain, Muzyka was the first defenseman in school history to top the 100-point plateau. In addition to his 66 assists, Muzyka notched 38 goals, the most for a defenseman all-time.
