Doug Bond, a two-sport athlete for Quinnipiac in the ’80s, starred on the baseball diamond as well as the basketball court.
After a season on the basketball team in 1984, Bond concentrated on baseball, where he was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Year in 1988. In June of 1988, he signed a contract with the Cincinnati Reds.
