Bill Mecca

Bill Mecca has remained an integral part of Quinnipiac Athletics for more than 30 years, serving as a coach and administrator—including the last eight as the senior associate athletic director. Mecca was the head coach of the men’s tennis team from 1978–91, earning Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year honors in his final season. From 1991–96 he was the men’s basketball head coach following a 13-year term as associate head coach. He is the founder of the highly successful Quinnipiac Roundball Golf Tournament. He provides color commentary for radio and TV broadcasts of Bobcats basketball and hockey games.
