In 1997 Alicia Longobardi was named the Quinnipiac Female Athlete of the Year after leading the softball team with five home runs, 13 stolen bases and a .427 batting average. For her career, Longobardi was a three-time Northeast-10 Conference and All-Region selection, and was also a Second Team All-American in 1997. Her five homeruns that year as well as her 29 stolen bases as a freshman in 1994 set school records. Longobardi totaled 164 RBIs for her career, and she is responsible for three of the five highest singleseason RBI totals in Quinnipiac’s Division II history.
