Nick Solari was promoted to Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Communications in August of 2022. He joined the Quinnipiac Athletic Communications staff as an Assistant Director in September of 2018, returning to his alma mater after almost two years at Stony Brook University.
In his current role, Solari oversees the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Communications staff at QU. He has pioneered a re-imagined staff with the Bobcats, leading the charge on overall structural change in the Athletic Communications office with a heavy focus on creative content (video/graphic design) for social media audience. Solari is responsible for arranging and organizing the exposure of all Quinnipiac University athletics teams, student-athletes, coaches, and staff members through GoBobcats.com, social media platforms and external media.
Prior to his time at Stony Brook, Solari served as a graduate assistant in the Athletic Communications department at Quinnipiac, performing as the primary media contact for nationally-ranked women's ice hockey, men's soccer and baseball for the Bobcats.
The Vermont native graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2016 with a degree in Print Journalism. He is currently working toward a graduate degree at Quinnipiac in Strategic Communications.
Solari has a wide range of experience in the communications field. He has served as an intern at Mass Live, the Albany Times Union, the New England Sports Network (NESN) and the Cape Cod Baseball League, working specifically in writing, photography, and digital media.
He has won awards for both his writing and photography work, highlighted by finishing as a national finalist in the College Media Association’s “Best Sports Feature” category in the 2014-15 Pinnacle Awards. He’s covered a wide variety of sporting events, including the 2016 Division I NCAA Men’s Frozen Four, a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park, NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series, and Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in 2015.
Solari is a Bennington, Vermont native, and currently resides in Wallingford, Connecticut.
