Quinnipiac softball announced the signing of assistant coach Rocco Labbadia '87 in August of 2017.
In his first season as an assistant coach with the Bobcats, the team posted 22 wins and had nine wins in MAAC play for a second straight season.
A Quinnipiac graduate of the class of '87, Labbadia brings with him a wealth of coaching experience to go along with years of work as a Physical Therapist. Labbadia began coaching softball in 2010 when he coached Tradition 16U Travel Softball of Southington, Connecticut in 2010 as an assistant. He went on to coach the 18U team from 2011-2012 before being named the assistant varsity softball coach at Berlin High School from 2013-2016.
He also serves as the Vice President of Clinical Content and Integration for eviCore healthcare, Inc. Labbadia currently lives in Berlin, Connecticut with his wife Lynn, who is also an assistant coach at Quinnipiac.
