Before Quinnipiac:
- Lettered four times in field hockey at Fairport High School
- Was the first goalie in Fairport history to be named to varsity as a freshman and was only one of two players ever to be brought up in her freshman year
- Backstopped her team to three straight New York Section V Championships (2011-13) as well as the Western Regional Championship in 2013
- Had a banner season in 2013 as she allowed just 16 goals while posting eight shutouts and 90 saves
- Named team captain for 2013 season and was honored as the 2013-14 Fairport High School Female Senior Athlete of the Year
- Her impressive senior season followed an incredible junior season in 2012 where she was named Division I Player of the Year
- Cook’s numbers in 2012 included a .900 save percentage, eight shutouts, and 203 saves (172 in regular season) all the while stopping every penalty stroke faced in her junior year
- As a sophomore, Cook impressed her coaches right off the bat with a 0.68 GAA and .890 save percentage in just her first season as the main starter
- Her on-field laurels garnered First Team All-State honors in 2012-13, All-Greater Rochester First Team 2012-13, and First Team All-County 2011-13
- In addition to all her on-field accomplishments, Cook is a dedicated student-athlete with honors such as being named a four-time NYS Scholar Athlete, 2013 NFHCA All-Academic Team, 2013 College Board AP Scholar Award, 2013 NYS Sportsmanship Player Award and the Red Raider Award given to the athlete at Fairport who has demonstrated the “spirit, desire, leadership, courage and sportsmanship for the team in the particular sport"

- Daughter of Thomas and Lisa Cook
- Has one younger brother Ben
- Her father Thomas competed in cross country at several institutions
- Traveled to France with the French Exchange Program at Fairport
- Certified ice hockey official and officiated games throughout high school
- Also named to the National Honor Society in 2013-14
- Plans to major in Journalism
