As a Junior in 2013-14:
Named to the 2013-14 MAAC All-Academic Team … Specialized in the 800m event where she helped lift the Bobcats to some of their best showings in program history … Petrie’s season highlight came in the New England Championships (2/28) where she combined with three other Bobcats to earn 5th place in the distance medley relay which was clocked in at a program record time of 11:46.92, besting the previous best for Quinnipiac by a full 12.14 seconds … Also helped the Bobcats earn 2nd place in the MAAC Championships (2/21) in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:10.61 … Led the Bobcats to 4th place at the Yale Invitational (1/11) in the 4x800m relay with a time of 9:39.17 … As an individual runner, Petrie scored a season high at the Great Dane Classic (1/17) where she clocked in at 2:23.31 in the 800m to earn her 15th place … Ran a new personal best in the 500m at the Valentine Invitational (2/7) as she clocked in at 1:19.67 to earn her 20th place … Scored an 8th place result in the 800m at the Yale Season Opener (12/7) where she crossed the line in 2:25.43.
As a Sophomore in 2012-13:
Competed in the 500m at the Great Dane Classic and finished with a time of 1:21.63 taking 13th place… Finished with a time of 2:19.53 in the 800m at the New England Championships.
As a Freshman in 2011-12:
Kicked off her season with a time of 1:10.41 in the 400m dash at the Yale Lid Lifter..Also competed in the 200m dash at the Lid Lifter and crossed the line in 28.20 seconds…Finished second on the team and 16th overall at Fordham in the 500m event with a time of 1:30…Led the Bobcat contingent with a time of 1:06.62 in the 400m event at the Yale Invitational…Competed in the 200m dash at Rhode Island and finished in 29.95 seconds…Finished the 200m dash at BU in 29.22 seconds…Scored a 13th place finish out of 24 runners with a time of 1:24.30 in the 500m event at Dartmouth…Finished in 1:24.26 at the NEC Championships in the 500m event…Helped the Bobcats finish fourth out of 11 teams in the distance medley with a time of 12:19.42…Crossed the line in 1:21.87 at the New England Championships in the 500m event…Closed out the season by helping Quinnipiac finish eighth out of 19 teams in the New England Championships in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:13.76.
Before Quinnipiac:
Attended LaSalle Academy where she ran varsity cross country and indoor and outdoor track…Helped lead LaSalle to four straight State Championships between 2008-11…State Champion in outdoor track during her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons…Was named Academic All-State as a senior…Received All-State second team honors in the 4x4 relay during the 2011 season.
