No. 5 Quinnipiac Finishes Off Sweep of Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. — The No. 5 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program finished off another weekend sweep in ECAC play, knocking off Princeton by a 4-1 final at Hobey Baker Rink on Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless first, it was the fourth line that got the Bobcats' offense going, with Matthew McGroarty and Alex Power scoring to give the visitors a 1-0 and 2-1 advantage.
The first years made their presence felt in the third, as Antonin Verreault provided the insurance on the power play before Ethan Wyttenbach netted the empty-netter from center ice to put the game on ice.
Dylan Silverstein posted a 21 save night on 22 Princeton shots.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats host senior weekend upcoming, taking on Colgate and Cornell at M&T Bank Arena. Quinnipiac takes on the Big Red on Friday before the Raiders for Senior Night Saturday.
Both games are slated for 7 p.m., puck drops on ESPN+.

- Wyttenbach crossed the 50-point plateau with another multi-point outing, adding an assist on the Verreault goal before banging home the open-net tally. He's eight clear at the top of the points leaderboard with 51 on the year.
- He also has six straight multi-point outings, the longest streak in the country. It ia also the longest streak by a Bobcat in the Division I era.
- Verreault jumped up to third on the first-year scoring leaderboard, tying with Gavin McKenna with 33 points.
- McGroarty recorded his first career multi-point outing, adding an assist on the Power goal after scoring the game's opener.
- Silverstein now sits with a 1.28 goals-against average and .944 save percentage since Christmas, rolling out an undefeated 6-0-1 record.
- Power's goal is his first of the season and sixth of his career. It is his first tally since Oct. 25, 2024 against New Hampshire.
