Last time out, the Quinnipiac Bobcats got back in the win column with a 1-0 win over the Canisius Golden Griffins, while Sacred Heart lost to the Siena Saints, 3-2, for their second conference loss of the season.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
- The Sacred Heart Pioneers will enter Wednesday's matchup with a 7-3-0 overall record and a 2-2-0 mark in conference play.
- The Pioneers finished non-conference play 5-1-0, defeating Central Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, New Haven, and Hofstra, while dropping their contest against Yale. The Pioneers outscored their non-conference opponents, 12-4.
- Sacred Heart is currently 2-2-0 in conference play. The Pioneers opened conference play with a win over Canisius, 2-0, and followed up with a 3-2 loss to the Marist Red Foxes. Sacred Heart won their second conference game of the season, beating the Saint Peter's Peacocks, 2-0. Most recently, the Pioneers fell to the Siena Saints, 3-2, back on Saturday, October 3. Â
- Nine Pioneers have found the back of the net so far this season, with Shea Kelleher leading the way with six tallies. Rylee McGee is second on the team with four goals, while Riley Pettigrew (three goals) and Alexandra Riehl (two goals) round out those who have scored multiple goals this year. Five other Pioneers have scored a single goal this season.
- Senior Kyran Thievon has started all ten games in the net for the Pioneers, posting a 4-1-0 record with two clean sheets. Thievon has recorded 28 saves while allowing six goals this season.
- Last year, the Pioneers finished with an 11-9-2 overall record and a 7-5-0 mark in conference action. Sacred Heart defeated the Canisius Golden Griffins in the conference championship and fell to Georgetown, 3-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Sacred Heart was picked to finish second in the Metro Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll with a total of 151 points and three first-place votes.
HISTORY AGAINST SACRED HEART
- Wednesday's matchup between the Bobcats and Pioneers will mark the 16th time the two teams have faced off.
- Sacred Heart leads the all-time series, 7-4-4, and are 4-3-1 in Hamden. Â
- The Bobcats and Pioneers have matched up twice since Sacred Heart joined the conference, with the Bobcats winning both of those matches.

- The Quinnipiac women's soccer team is back in the win column as Addyson Earl's strike in the 70th minute lifted the Bobcats over the Canisius Golden Griffins, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon in Buffalo.
- Earl is the seventh different Bobcat to find the back of the net this season.
- Earl is now up to six points on the year (one goal, four assists), which ranks second on the team.
- Olivia Jarvis recorded eight saves in the win, the most she has recorded in a single game.
- Jarvis backstopped the Bobcats to their second clean sheet of the season.Â
- With the win, the Bobcats improved to 14-2-3 all-time against the Golden Griffins and 6-1-1 on the road at Canisius.
THE A IN "ADDYSON" STANDS FOR ASSISTS
- Addyson Earl's name was all over the scoresheet in the 4-1 victory over the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers.
- Earl recorded an assist on all four of the Bobcats' goals, earning the primary assist on each goal.
- Her four assists tied the Quinnipiac single-game record for assists, which was set by Courtney Chochol against Siena on Sept. 28, 2022.
- Earl is currently third in the conference with four total assists.
THIS GIRL'S ON FIRE
- Morgan Cupo is on the hottest of hot streaks, having scored eight goals in the last six games.
- Cupo is up to nine goals on the season, which leads the team and the conference.
- Cupo also ranks first in the conference with a total of 20 points this year (nine goals, two assists).
- The graduate forward ranks 17th in the country in points per game (2.0), 13th in the NCAA in total goals and 23rd in total points.
PRESEASON HONORS
- The Quinnipiac women's soccer team was selected third in the Metro Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office on Thursday, August 6th.
- The Bobcats received 146 points, including one first-place vote. Fairfield was picked to finish first with 164 total points and nine first-place votes, and Sacred Heart was picked second with 151 points and three first-place votes.
- Morgan Cupo and Corey Anderson were voted to the Preseason All-Metro Team.
'25 SEASON RECAP
- The Bobcats finished last season with an 8-3-6 overall record and an 8-0-4 conference mark.
- As the two seed, the Bobcats matched up with the Canisius Golden Griffins in Hamden, and Canisius advanced with a victory in penalty kicks.

- Head Coach Dave Clarke enters his 28th season with the Bobcats in 2026. Clarke is 259-209-54 (.548) over his career as a collegiate head coach (2 seasons at New Haven before QU).
- Clarke has firmly cemented himself as one of the premier college coaches in the NCAA's highest division. He effectively etched his signature on Quinnipiac soccer by becoming not only the winningest coach in its history but also leading his team to an NCAA Tournament berth in 2000 and a regular-season championship in 2001.
- The Bobcats then won their second consecutive MAAC Championship in 2023, marking their second MAAC Title in program history.
WHO'S BACK?
- The Bobcats return three of their top five-point scorers from last season, highlighted by Morgan Cupo and Corey Anderson.
- Quinnipiac returns 14 players who played in at least ten contests last season, with seven of them starting more than ten games.
NEW FACES IN HAMDEN
- The Bobcats welcome five newcomers to Hamden before the start of the 2026 season.
- Quinnipiac brought in Tindra Biedermann (Arizona Western College), Chiara Peiter (Johannes Gutenberg Universitat), and Skye Cuscuna (UMass) as transfers.
- Coach Clarke brought in two first-years for the upcoming season: Beatrice Plouffe (Repentigny, Quebec, Canada) and Tatum O'Brien (Attleboro, Mass.)
THE '26 SCHEDULE
- The Bobcats will play 16 regular-season games, hosting seven contests at the QU Soccer Stadium in Hamden.
- Quinnipiac's slate features four non-conference matchups, with three on the road (Holy Cross, North Carolina, UAlbany) and one in Hamden (Yale).
- QU kicks off Metro play on September 5th as they host the Niagara Purple Eagles at 12 PM.
- Quinnipiac will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, November 4th, on the road at Saint Peter's.Â
