EDISON, N.J. — Defending Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year Shannon Alden and the team's leading returning scorer in Mia Delmond were both voted to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference team, the league announced on Friday morning.
Alden returns after earning a pair of major postseason awards, the first player in the league to earn Rookie and another major award since 2015 when Canisius' Erica Evans won Midfielder and Rookie of the Year. The Blue Point, N.Y. native also earned spots on the All-MAAC First Team and the All-MAAC Rookie Team. She finished the year leading the MAAC in saves per game (9.33) and total total saves (168), while sitting second in save percentage (.464) and is fifth in goals-against average (75). She's top 25 nationally in the first three categories as well.
Delmond returns after finishing top 10 in the MAAC in 2025 in goals (50), goals per game (2.78), points (59) and points per game (3.28) and is the leading Bobcat in all categories. She finished the year second in program history and is one of three players all-time to hit the 50-goal mark in a single campaign.
She leads out a Bobcat squad that was selected sixth in the preseason poll but returns six of its top eight scorers, including three All-Rookie Selections. Quinnipiac will be chasing its third playoff appearances in the last four years, securing a win in the previous two.
