Three Bobcats Named to Preseason All-MAAC Teams

Quinnipiac Was Picked to Finish Second in Preseason Coaches' Poll
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team has been picked to finish 2nd in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office as part of the inaugural MAAC Basketball Tip-off held at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The Bobcats received 155 points in the preseason coaches' poll – finishing behind Fairfield, who were unanimously picked to win the league with 169 points. Mount St. Mary's (132), Marist (128), and Siena (103) rounded out the top five in the Coaches' Poll.
Junior Anna Foley and Graduate student Jackie Grisdale were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team, and junior guard Karson Martin was named to the Second Team.
Anna Foley – Preseason All-MAAC First Team
The junior forward enters her third season in Hamden after showing out in her sophomore season. Just a season ago, Foley averaged 10.9 points per game, 5.4 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists in 24.6 minutes per game. Foley ranked first on the team with 46 steals, second on the squad with 177 total rebounds, and 115 assists. The Andover, MA, native shot 46.2% (144-312) from the floor, which ranked third on the Bobcats. Anna Foley was named to the 2025 MAAC All-Academic Team and the All-MAAC Second Team after an impressive sophomore year.
Jackie Grisdale – Preseason All-MAAC First Team
The Poland, Ohio, native enters her final season in a Bobcat uniform after a solid season last year. Grisdale started all 33 contests last season and averaged 10.8 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game, while averaging 36.4 minutes per game. Grisdale led the team in three-point percentage (40.1%), three-pointers made (75), minutes per game (36.4), and minutes played (1200). In Quinnipiac's win over Harvard, Grisdale scored a career-high 33 points and knocked down seven three-pointers, breaking a Quinnipiac record for most threes in a single game. After a solid regular season, Grisdale was named to the 2025 MAAC All-Academic Team and the All-MAAC Third Team.
Karson Martin – Preseason All-MAAC Second Team
The junior guard from Woodstock, Georgia, enters her third season in Hamden after an impressive sophomore campaign. Martin started 32 of 33 contests last season and averaged 9.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, while averaging 30.9 minutes per game. Martin was third on the team with 39 made three-pointers, only behind Raviv and Grisdale. The guard scored a career-high 25 points in last season's opener at Holy Cross. Karson Martin reached double-digit figures in scoring in 13 games last season.
QU announced the full 2025-26 schedule on Aug. 25. The Bobcats' non-conference slate features nine total games, including four home contests at the M&T Bank Arena in Hamden and five road bouts. Quinnipiac's non-conference slate features contests against four schools that competed in postseason tournaments last season: Rutgers (WNIT), College of Charleston (WNIT), Colgate (WNIT), and Boston College (WBIT).
The Bobcats open the new season on Monday, Nov. 3, as QU heads to Boston to take on the BU Terriers for the first time in their Division I history. Quinnipiac will then head to Rutgers University (Nov. 6) before heading back home.
Following their contest at Rutgers, the Bobcats will host St. John's for their home opener on Tuesday, November 11th. Tip-off from M&T Bank Arena is slated for 5:00 PM.
