Quinnipiac Drops MAAC Opener at Marist

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Francisco Ferreira and Sivert Ryssdalsnes both scored, as Quinnipiac men's soccer dropped its MAAC opener at Marist by the final score of 4-2.
Kyle Evans scored first for Marist in the 10th minute of play, putting the Red Foxes up 1-0 early.
The Bobcats would respond quickly, however, as Francisco Ferreira blasted a shot into the bottom left corner of the net to even things.
Evans scored again for the Red Foxes in the 34th minute.
The Bobcats responded quickly one again, as Sivert Ryssdalsnes buried a penalty kick to even things 2-2 after a foul in the box at 40:23.
Marist scored three times in the second half to earn its first league victory of the year.
