EDISON, N.J. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team saw first-year guard Gal Raviv be named to the All-MAAC Rookie Team and All-MAAC First Team. Sophomore Anna Foley was named to the All-MAAC Second Team for the second straight season, and Jackie Grisdale earned All-MAAC Third Team honors as announced by the league office on Monday morning.
Gal Raviv – First Year, Guard, Kadima, Israel
The first-year guard from Kadima, Israel, came into Hamden and made an immediate impact, starting in all 29 games for the Bobcats while averaging 18.0 points per game. Raviv averaged 36.4 minutes per game, which ranks first on the team, first in the MAAC, and 17th in the NCAA.
Raviv eclipsed the 500-point mark in her first season, scoring 522 points and becoming the first player to score 500+ points in a single season since Jasmine Martin (512) in the 2013-14 season. Gal's first season in Hamden did not disappoint as she helped lead the Bobcats to a 26-3 regular season.
Raviv was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week eleven times this season, tying Meghan Anderson (Fairfield) and Rachele Fitz (Marist) for the most Rookie of the Week awards in a single season. Raviv was also named the MAAC Player of the Week two times this season.
Anna Foley – Sophomore, Forward, Andover, Mass.
The forward from Andover, Massachusetts, was named to the All-MAAC Second Team for the second straight year after having another great year in Hamden. In her sophomore season, Foley averaged 11.0 points per game and started all 29 games for the Bobcats.
Anna Foley ranked second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game and 106 assists while ranking first on the team with 30 blocks and fifth in the MAAC with 1.03 blocks per game. Foley ranked fourth in the conference with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.89, which ranks 82nd in the NCAA.
Foley reached double figures 21 times this season and finished the regular season scoring 10+ points in ten straight contests.
Jackie Grisdale – Senior, Guard, Poland, Ohio
After missing most of last season due to an injury, Jackie Grisdale came back to the court and made her presence felt on both ends of the floor. The senior captain was second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.1 points per game while starting every game for the Bobcats this season.
Grisdale ranked second on the team with an average of 36.3 minutes per game, which also ranked third in the MAAC and 24th in Division I. Grisdale ranked in the top three in the MAAC in three-point percentage (39.1), made three-pointers (66), and three-pointers per game (2.28).
Grisdale was great on both ends of the floor as she locked down the opposing team's top scorers to help lead Quinnipiac to a 26-3 overall record and an 18-2 conference mark, the program's most MAAC wins since the 2018-19 season, where Quinnipiac did not lose a MAAC contest.
The two-seeded Bobcats will be back in action in the MAAC Quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, to take on the winner of Iona/Saint Peter's. Wednesday's contest, along with the entirety of the MAAC Tournament, can be seen live on ESPN+.
