HAT TRICKETTS STRIKES AGAIN
- For the second time this season, grad student Jack Ricketts recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals in the Bobcats' come-from-behind, 5-4, victory over Dartmouth last Friday night in Hanover.
- The Bobcats erased a pair of deficits and took the extra point in overtime against the Big Green, earning a split of the season series and keeping Rand Pecknold's club in first as they head to February.
- Ricketts is the one of two skaters nationally to have multiple hat tricks this season, joining Boston College's Ryan Leonard who had his on Jan. 24 and 31.
AND DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME...
- As the calendar turns to February, a tight ECAC race is underway with the Bobcats leading the way with 10 games to go.
- Quinnipiac enters the weekend with a one-point advantage over Colgate and four-point lead over Dartmouth and Union as they chase their fifth consecutive Cleary Cup as the league's regular season champion.
- In the national landscape, the Bobcats currently sit No. 12 in the Pairwise, looking for an NCAA Tournament bid for the sixth consecutive season. They are the lone ECAC team inside the Top 16 and their strongest Pairwise opponent left on the schedule is Clarkson, who currently sits
- at No. 33.
ALL NATURAL
- A feat that had not been achieved by a Bobcat since the 2014-15 season, Quinnipiac has recorded a pair of natural hat tricks this season, thanks to Jack Ricketts and Andon Cerbone.
- Ricketts ripped off a four-goal game against Stonehill in which he scored three in a row and then Cerbone followed that up by turning a 3-1 deficit into a 4-3 lead against Colgate en route to a 6-3 victory.
- They are one of five teams in the country to have two hat tricks this season.
VOTE FOR TRAV 2025
- 2024-25 captain Travis Treloar is a 2025 Hobey Baker Award nominee, the organization released on Wednesday morning.
- The Kalmar, Sweden native and second-year Bobcat leads the team with seven power play goals and is one of two Quinnipiac players with 10 tallies on the season, joining Jack Ricketts.
- He currently leads all active NCAA Division I men's players with 24 power play goals and leads a crew of four players with 20 or more to their name in their collegiate careers.
SPECIAL TEAMS, SPECIAL PLAYS, SPECIAL PLAYERS
- Since Nov. 15, the Bobcats have won 13 games, the second-most in the country, with special teams leading the way.
- The Bobcats have killed 51 of 54 penalties taken, dividing out to 94.1 percent, a rate good for second in the country behind Western Michigan's 97.6 percent.
