Marcellus' Career Night Powers No. 14 Bobcats Past St. Lawrence

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 14 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program has won seven of its last night, knocking off St. Lawrence 6-1 in front of 3,069 fans at M&T Bank Arena on Friday night.
Five different players found the net, with Mason Marcellus recording a career-best four-point night with a pair of goals and pair of assists.
The Bobcats raced out to an early lead, scoring three goals in the first 7:22 with Marcellus recording a point on all three.
Tyler Borgula found the net on a tap-in for the second's lone goal, while Marcellus and Jeremy Wilmer found twine in the third to finish off the scoring.
Matej Marinov got the start in net, making 15 saves in 58:10 of action before yielding to Noah Altman for the final 1:50.

Quinnipiac returns to M&T Bank Arena tomorrow night for Hockey Fights Cancer night against Clarkson at 7 p.m.

STATS AND NOTES
- Marcellus bested his previous career-best of three, set against New Hampshire on Oct. 25 and four other times. He also has now recorded four games of two goals.
- He is also the first Bobcat to record multiple goals and multiple assists in the same game since Sam Lipkin and Collin Graf did it simultaneously on Oct. 14.
- He is the fourth separate Bobcat to record a four-point night, joining Aaron Schwartz, Jack Ricketts and Wilmer.
- Quinnipiac improved to 10-0-0 when scoring first in a game this season.
- Schwartz recorded a three-point night, one off of his collegiate high.
- Charlie Leddy made his 100th collegiate appearance on the night, marking the occasion with an assist.
- 11 different Bobcats found the scoresheet with a point.
- Aaron Bohlinger has recorded a point in three consecutive games, dishing an assist in all three.
- Four Bobcats have now recorded double-figure goals on the season, with Schwartz and Wilmer joining Ricketts and Travis Treloar.
