Bobcats Open 2025 Season with In-State Foe

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team kicks off its 2025 campaign on Wednesday afternoon, welcoming in-state foe and former NEC rival Central Connecticut State for a 2 p.m. first draw in Hamden.
It'll be just the second time the two teams have met since 2017, with the Bobcats taking a 16-5 victory over the Blue Devils in New Britain in 2023.

2024 RECAP
The Bobcats are coming off a 2-13 campaign, earning wins over Old Dominion and Rider. Quinnipiac returns four of its top six scorers from 2024, as well as an All-Rookie selection in Maggie Kennedy.
Abby Wise led the Bobcats a season ago in assists (16), finishing with a total of 29 points.
IN THE RANKINGS: Quinnipiac
The Bobcats finished third in the league and 19th nationally in caused turnovers per game a season ago, forcing 9.80 per game, only 0.2 per contest off of league leaders Fairfield. They were also top five in the league in fewest turnovers per contest.
EllaGrace Delmond finished third in the league in free-position goals per contest a year ago, as well as eighth in shot percentage (.467).

The Bobcats have won 14 of the 17 meetings dating back to 2001, with the lastest matchup yielding a 16-5 Bobcats victory in New Britain. Current Bobcats EllaGrace and Mia Delmond each scored a pair of goals, while Abby Wise dished an assist.
