FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's soccer returns to the field on Wednesday night, traveling to in-state rival Fairfield to continue the league schedule at 7:00 PM.
LAST TIME OUT: MILLER'S STRIKE LIFTS BOBCATS OVER SIENA (10/25)
- Alex Miller scored the lone goal of the game in the 52nd minute, leading Quinnipiac men's soccer past Siena in MAAC play by the final score of 1-0.
- Miller's goal – his second of the season – was assistant by Francisco Ferreira.
- The Bobcats move to 3-4 in MAAC play with the victory. Quinnipiac is 5-2 at the QU Soccer Stadium so far in 2025.
- Quinnipiac picked up its third clean sheet of the season. All three shutouts have come over the last seven games.
- Fairfield enters with a 4-1-3 league record to date. The Stags have gone 2-0-3 over their last five contests.
- Alex Vaz and Sean Albritton lead the program with five goals each.
- Fairfield has allowed just 1.0 goal per game, which ranks 50th nationally and leads all MAAC program.
- QU is 8-3-4 against Fairfield dating back to 2013. The Bobcats have taken five of the last seven meetings.
- Sivert Ryssdalsnes leads the way for QU with 16 points via 6 goals and 4 assists.

- After starting 1-4 in MAAC play last season, QU rattled off three-straight wins to move into contention for the postseason.
- They defeated Merrimack 3-2 at home with goals from returners Juan Hernandez and Luke Schierenbeck before shutting out Niagara on the road.

- Andrew Monteserin had three goals in the final two games of the season.
- Head Coach Eric Da Costa enters his 21st season with the Bobcats in 2025. Da Costa is up to 160 career victories with the Bobcats.
- Da Costa has built a strong reputation for success at QU, leading the Bobcats to the postseason conference tournament in 12 of the last 13 seasons (2012 in the NEC, 2013-2022, 2024).
- The Bobcats have reached the MAAC title game five times under Da Costa, reaching the NCAA Tournament twice. He was also named the 2022 MAAC Coach of the Year for his outstanding leadership.
- The Bobcats return 18 players from a season ago, including seven of their ten top scorers.
- William Holum returns with the most points of any Bobcat from last year, scoring three goals and making three assists.
- Matt Pisani and Drew Seguro each return for their fifth season in Hamden.
- Seguro and Alex Miller were named captains this past spring, combined they have played in 77 games.
- The Bobcats welcome ten newcomers to Hamden before the start of the 2025 season.

- Quinnipiac's eight first years include, Erik Willke (Tromsø, Norway), Didac Glories (Valencia, Spain), Mateo Balbino (Ludlow, Mass.), Taehyeon Lim (Montreal, QC, Can.), Aleks Swider (Harwinton, Conn.), Sindri Sigurjonsson (Mosfellsbaer, Iceland), Remy Barone (Toronto, Ont, Can.), Sixten Karlsson (Stockholm, Sweden).
