Smith Announces 2025 Softball Schedule

HAMDEN, Conn.— Quinnipiac Softball has announced its spring 2025 schedule, as revealed by Head Coach Hillary Smith on Monday, Jan. 13.
The Bobcats will play 50 total games against 27 different teams in seven different states. They will play 19 doubleheaders over the course of the spring season with 10 of those coming in MAAC play.
QU will open the season on February 14th, traveling to Nashville, Tenn. to face Tennessee State University in the Roar City Invitational, where they will also face Mercer, Stony Brook and Illinois (Feb. 14-16). The Bobcats will then travel to Orlando, Fla. to participate in the Space U Invitational, facing UCF, Columbia, Pitt, and FGCU on Feb. 20-23.
They will then be on the road at Delaware, participating the University of Delaware Invitational, facing Delaware, Morgan State, and Syracuse on Feb.28 to March 2. After a weekend off QU will head back on the road to participate in the Mizzou Invitational, matching up against Mizzou, Princeton, and South Dakota State on March 14-15.
Smith's squad will host their first home game and conference game of 2025 on March 22, with Iona coming to town for a three-game series concluding on the 23rd. QU will stay home for its next six games, hosting Siena for a doubleheader on March 25, Rider for a doubleheader on March 29, and Marist for a non-league doubleheader on March 30.
QU will then travel up to Buffalo, N.Y. to face Niagara on April 5-6 for three games before facing Canisius for a doubleheader on April 8th. The Bobcats return home the next weekend, April 12-13 to host Mount St. Mary's for a three-game series before going on the road for 10 straight games.
The Bobcats road trip will begin at Boston College on April 15, before going to Merrimack on April 18-19 for a three-game series. QU will then face Manhattan for a doubleheader on April 22 before returning to Connecticut to face Sacred Heart in Fairfield (April 26-27). QU will face Holy Cross in its final non-conference matchup on the road on April 30.
The last series of the regular season will be home in Hamden, Conn., with the Bobcats hosting Fairfield on May 3-4 for three-games with Sunday's game being Senior Day.
Smith and the Bobcats are coming off their first 20-win season since 2018 and return Second Team-All MAAC Shortstop Natalia Apatiga.
