Alves Named Offensive Player of the Week After Two Goal Performance

HAMDEN, Conn. – Junior midfielder Madison Alves has been named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday, Sep. 30.
Madison Alves and the Bobcats defeated the Saint Peter's Peacocks, 3-0, in their lone game this past week. Alves recorded two goals in the win, with the game-winning goal being scored in the 41st minute of action. Alves got back on the score sheet in the second half with another tally in the 83rd minute to put the Bobcats up by three.
Alves has recorded goals in back-to-back games for the first time in her collegiate career. Alves pushed her season total of goals to three and four in her career. The Cranston, Rhode Island native is currently second on the team with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists). Her three assists lead the team, and her three goals are good for second on the squad.
Quinnipiac has now won five straight games and three straight MAAC games. The Bobcats will be back in action on Wednesday, October 2nd as they travel to take on the Rider Broncs at 7 PM.
