QU Falls at Georgetown In Thursday Contest

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Quinnipiac Women's Soccer fell to the Preseason Big East favorites, the Georgetown Hoyas, by a final score of 5-0 on Thursday evening.
The Hoyas struck first in the 25th minute on an own goal by the Bobcats before netting their second goal of the half in the 36th minute.
Georgetown added their third goal on the contest in the 62nd minute before making it 4-0 less than a minute later. With 13 minutes to play, an own goal by the Bobcats made it a 5-0 lead for the Hoyas.
Sofia Lospinoso made nine saves in 77 minutes of game action and Gwen Hoyt recorded on save in 13 minutes.
