STORRS, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's track and field team opened its 2024 outdoor campaign this week, competing at both the Raleigh Relays and UConn Dog Fight in the first meet of the season.

The Bobcats took select athletes to the Raleigh Relays, held at NC State. Corinne Barney was the highlight performance, leading the Bobcats in the 5k to a personal-best time of 16:40.70. The meet also saw the return to action for grad student distance runner Emily Young.

Quinnipiac also took to the track at the UConn Dog Fight held in Storrs, finishing with five, top-five finishes as a team. Rylie Smith finished the highest place on the meet, taking second in the 400m after a 57.13 race. Izzie Anzaldo finished fifth in that race.

TOP 10 PERFORMANCES

Barney clocked in at 16:40.70, good for fourth in the program list as she jumped up two spots with a personal best run.
Camille Blain chopped a half-second off her 100m hurdles best time, finishing at 14.91.

UP NEXT
The Bobcats have another dual-meet weekend, as the squads split trips to South Florida and UMass on April 6.
