
Bobcats in the Pros Update (via Eurobasket, 3/29/24)

#1. Kevin Marfo (6'9''-PF-1997, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Denmark): Despite Marfo's very good performance the fourth-placed Svendborg (17-8) lost 83-91 at home to the lower-ranked (#5) Randers in the Places 1-6 group. Marfo had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 19 rebounds in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. It was Svendborg's fourth consecutive loss in a row. He averages 17.7ppg, 14.6rpg and 2.0apg in 10 games he played so far. Marfo is a naturalized Ghanian.
#2. Jacob Rigoni (6'6''-F-1998, played in 2018-22, plays in Australia) led Sturt Sabres to a victory over the fourth-ranked Forestville Eagles (1-1) 100-84 in the Australian NBL One (second division) on Saturday night. Rigoni was MVP of the game. He recorded 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. It was his first game for Sturt Sabres this season; not bad, considering it's only Rigoni's second season in pro basketball. His team is placed fourth in Central group. But this is still an early stage of the season. Rigoni has also Australian nationality.
#3. Ike Nweke (6'7''-F/C-2000, played in 2022-23, currently in Holland) was the major contributor in a Yoast United's victory against the closely-ranked Circus Brussels (1-3) 71-62 in the BNXT League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 37 minutes. Yoast United Bemmel (2-2) is placed sixth in the BNXT League. Nweke has very impressive stats this year 17.3ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.1apg in 19 games. He is a naturalized Nigerian.
#4. Tyrese Williams (6'3''-G, played in 2018-23, plays pro in North Macedonia) was the main contributor in Gostivar's victory against the closely-ranked Kozuv (5-16) crushing them 104-73 in the North Macedonian Prva Liga last Saturday. Williams was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 10 rebounds. Williams also added 8 assists and 3 steals. KK Gostivar (8-13) is placed eighth in the Prva Liga. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Williams has very high stats. He averages 20.0ppg, 5.9rpg, 3.1apg and 1.4spg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
#5. Experienced James Feldeine (6'4''-C-1988, played in 2006-10, plays in Israel) was not able to help Hapoel Nofar Energy Galil Elion in their last game. Despite his good performance his team lost 80-87 on the road to the league outsider (#13) Hapoel Beer Sheva. Feldeine scored 11 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 31 minutes. Feldeine has very impressive stats this year 16.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.5apg and 1.2spg in 18 games. He is a naturalized Dominican.
#6. Cameron Young (6'5''-G-1996, played in 2016-19, currently in Russia) contributed to a Runa Basket's victory against the closely-ranked N.Novgorod 83-76 in the VTB United League in Thursday night's game. He scored 7 points. Young has relatively good stats this season 11.5ppg and 1.8rpg.
#7. Ousmane Drame (6'9''-F/C-1993, played in 2011-15, plays pro in Lithuania) was not able to secure a victory for Jonava in their game against Lietkabelis in the Lithuanian LKL. Drame scored only 4 points in 4 minutes on the court. His team lost 80-90. This year Drame averages 4.0ppg and 3.3rpg in three games. He is a naturalized Guinean.
#8. Donovan Smith (6'10''-C/F-1993, played in 2015-17, plays in Kosovo) managed to help Sigal Prishtina to win against the closely-ranked Peja 98-88 in the Kosovan Superliga on Saturday night. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. This season Smith has very high stats. He averages 15.3ppg, 9.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3bpg.
