Monroe Named MAAC Co-Player of the Week

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac forward Amarri Monroe has been tabbed MAAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, as revealed by the league office on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024.
Monroe – the Preseason MAAC Player of the Year – led the Bobcats with 20 points on Sunday in a home win over Hofstra. The junior added 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals over 39 minutes, and went 6-of-7 from the free throw line.
The Bobcats' captain will share Co-Player of the Week honors with Elijah Lewis of Marist. Monroe is Quinnipiac's first weekly award winner for the 2024-25 season.
Monroe has three double-doubles so far this season. He's averaging 14.8 PPG, 7.2 RPG, & 2.8 SPG so far for QU, and has five straight games with 10+ points.
The Bobcats will now turn their full attention to the MAAC schedule for the remainder of the regular season. Quinnipiac is on the floor next on Friday, Jan. 3, traveling to Saint Peter's for a 7:00 PM contest.
