Men's Ice Hockey Announces Addition of Drew Hockley to 2024-25 Roster

HAMDEN, Conn. — Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey and head coach Rand Pecknold announced the addition of defenseman Drew Hockley to the 2024-25 roster and will be actie for the remainder of the season.
The Kentville, Nova Scotia native joins from the Victoria Grizzlies of the BCHL, where he has accumulated 24 points in 23 games to start his campaign.
As of Dec. 4, Hockley was tied for first in the BCHL in defensman goals and was second in points, totaling eight goals and 16 assists on the year.
Overall, the 19-year-old played 67 games in the BCHL over two seasons, including 11 postseason contests in the 2023-24 season.
Hockley joins a Bobcats defensive core that features four NHL draft picks in Cooper Moore (Detroit), Nate Benoit (Minnesota), Charlie Leddy (New Jersey) and Elliott Groenewold (Boston) and will be active when Quinnipiac returns to the ice on Dec. 29 to take on American International at 4 p.m., at M&T Bank Arena.
