Bobcats Defeat Fairfield for Spot in Playoffs

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's soccer team clinched a playoff berth with a 3-1 win over Fairfield on Wednesday afternoon.
After 45 minutes we stood even, with the Bobcats having the edge in shots 8-4.
Fairfield broke the scoreless tie five minutes into the second half, with a deflected ball off a pass into the box finding its way past Karl Netzell.
In the 74th minute, Andrew Monteserin found an angle and fired it past the Fairfield goal keeper to knot the score at one.
Three minutes later, Filip Kangeman hit Fredrik Moen alone across the field and he scored to give the Bobcats the lead.
Three minutes after that, Andrew Monteserin scored on a strike just from the top of the box give the Bobcats insurance late in the contest.
