NEW HAVEN – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball dropped its 2024-25 season opener at Yale by the final score of 88-62 on Monday night in New Haven.

Preseason MAAC Player of the Year Amarri Monroe paced the Bobcats with 23 points on 9-of-22 shooting. Alexis Reyes chipped in with 12 points.

NOTES

QU shot 19-of-60 in total (31.7%), knocking down seven 3-pointers on the night.
Yale outrebounded QU 50-27.
Amarri Monroe finished with 23 points and two rebounds. He scored 20+ points three times last season.
Alexis Reyes finished a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line, totaling 12 points in the first game of the year.
Paul Otieno added five points and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.
Savion Lewis chipped in with five points and six assists.
First-year guard Jaden Zimmerman finished with five points in 11 minutes during his collegiate debut.
Ryan Mabrey scored three points in his first game with the Bobcats, while Grant Randall chipped in with two points.

NEXT UP

Quinnipiac will turn its attention to the home opener on Nov. 7. The Bobcats will play host to WPI at 7:00 PM from M&T Bank Arena in Hamden.
