Raviv Named MAAC Rookie of the Week

HAMDEN, Conn. – First-year guard Gal Raviv earned MAAC Rookie of the Week Honors, as announced by the league office on Monday, November 18^th.

The guard from Kadima, Israel helped lead the Bobcats to a 74-66 victory over the Princeton Tigers on Saturday, Nov. 16^th. Raviv dropped a team-high 21 points to lead all scorers in the game. The first-year shot 6-for-7 (85.7%) from the field and knocked down the lone three-pointer she attempted. Raviv also led the team as she dished out six assists in the win.

Gal Raviv currently leads the team with 17.7 points per game and 4.3 assists per game. Raviv is also tied for the team lead with five steals in her first season in Hamden. Raviv is also the second-leading scorer in the MAAC and leads all rookies in the conference in points per game.

The Bobcats are back in action on Thursday, November 21^stas they welcome the Cornell Big Red to Hamden for a 6 PM tip-off.
