
QU Men Open Season with Fourth-Place Finish

STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac men's cross country team placed fourth to open the 2023 campaign, led by Nolan Kus' 33rd-place finish at the Stony Brook Season Opener on Saturday Morning on Long Island.
Kus clocked in at 20:14.4 to pace the Bobcats, who bested LIU but fell short of Wagner by three points for third in the 6.2k race.

After a week off, Quinnipiac heads to the 2023 MAAC Championship course in Montgomery, N.Y., running the Jasper Fall XC Invite at Twin Ponds on the Farm on Sept. 16.

- On the same course as a season ago, Kus bested his 2022 mile pace (5:50) by 35 seconds, averaging 5:15.5 this time around.
- After falling to the squad by four points a season ago, the Bobcats bested LIU this time around, finishing four points ahead of the Sharks.
